| Do people still write on xanga? Gosh, this used to be cool, huh? I was reading over my entries about India... I want to leave America again!
Xanga used to be kind of fun... let's bring it back kids!

| Hi-ho, hi-ho... off to the scary spider infested mountains I go!!! I'm looking forward to it really, the Himalayas are beautiful, but spiders are a big fear of mine. Jesus is bigger than spiders, right?
Another thing... I am in charge of the games at the youth camp we're going to. I suggested playing "cops and robbers" but renaming it "Indians and Pakistanis," since we'll be so close to Kashmir. No problem, right?
AND today I got to go on another bike ride with Byajee...fun, fun, fun. I really think God is calling me to buy a Harley when I get back home. Bike rides make my heart flutter.... PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL.

| I went to Nepal!!! There is a special little place called Rupaidiha on the border of India and Nepal we were staying there for a few nights. I wanted the Nepal stamp in my passport... childish, I know, but desirable. After three stops at different immigration stations and a bumpy rickshaw ride later we walked around Nepal Ganj. There is an inn ran by an American, they even have apple pie. We didn't get to stop, but American food was defiently on our minds.
Oh, yeah last night there was a cockroach the size of a mouse in our shower. At first glance I though it was a mouse, but I looked again and realized that is was just a MASSIVE roach. I told myself to suck it up and deal, but we are going to the mountains next week. In the mountains there is something worse than roaches... there are EXTRA MASSIVE, EXTREMELY SCARY spiders!!! Any note of encouragement would be appreciated. PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL. | | |
| I saw white people three times yesterday... the third time they were walking on the street outside of our apartment. I ran out on the balcony and yelled, "White People! Iea!" (it means come in Hindi). Then I realized that I was yelling in Hindi, so I quickly switched to English. One of the guards went on the street and told them to come.
Victoria and I went out on the street to talk to them. They thought we had been kidnapped my Indian men and they were waiting to rescue us... no joke! We only met two of them, but there was a whole group of at least eight... we're not alone! There aren't that many foreigners in LKO, so I got a little excited.
You know you've been in India too long when you start yelling to Americans in Hindi from your balcony... it's the food, it's getting to me. Send Sonic!!!
PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL. | | |
| I not only rode on a scooter, but I got to drive one. Motorcycle guys were never my type, but now that I've felt the wind in my hair... you never know. Don't worry perfectly safe... I prayed before I got on...
We've been doing programs this week in one of the villages. The fixed us lunch today. Yes, there was curry. Have I told you guys (in Hindi, guy means cow and dude is milk) that I don't like curry or Indian food really, but I love the people!!!
Please pray for this land. No matter how far in the middle of nowhere a village is, there is almost always a temple, but churches are few and far between. I hope you all are doing well. PEACE BE WITH YOU ALL.
